BIOGRAPHY

Crayton Walker is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. His main areas of expertise are associated with language teaching and corpus linguistics. He currently works with both undergraduate and postgraduate students who are following the University of Birmingham’s campus and distance programmes. Before joining the University, Dr Walker had a career in English language teaching and taught English for Special Purposes (ESP) in London, Riyadh and Stuttgart. He was in charge of the English department of a large language school in Germany for over 10 years. Dr Walker has worked as a teacher, teacher trainer and materials developer with over 25 years of experience in EFL/ESL.
