BIOGRAPHY

Lesley Jeffries is Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Huddersfield. She is the Director of the Institute for Applied Linguistics at Huddersfield and the PI on the Hansard at Huddersfield project. Her main research interests are in political applications of stylistics, the stylistics of poetry and theories of textual meaning. Her major publications include (as co-author with with Dan McIntyre) Stylistics (2010) and Keywords in the Press: The New Labour Years (2017).
