Macro – Globalisation

In this course, Dr Paul Segal (King’s College London) look at the topic of Globalisation. In the first module, we introduce the key ideas of globalisation and trace its long-run history. After this, we discuss our current trading system and how it came about. Then, we look at global value chains. In the fourth module, we explore the basic theory that we use to study international finance or capital flows between countries. Then, we look at what we observe when we study international financial flows. Finally, we talk about some of the benefits and of costs of globalisation.
